Royal King Seeds is an in-house cannabis genetics team focused on recreating, stabilising, and refining elite strains. Every seed sent to an Australian customer is developed by our breeding team — Royal King Genetics — and held to the same consistency standard, run after run.
Who We Are
Royal King Seeds was founded by growers, for growers. We are not resellers and we are not a marketing brand bolted on top of somebody else's genetics. We are an in-house cannabis breeding operation — a working genetics team that recreates, stabilises, and refines the elite cultivars our customers want to grow.
Our breeders, agronomists, and quality-control team operate under the name Royal King Genetics. Every strain in our Australian catalogue passes through that team before it ships from our fulfilment centre to a single customer in any state or territory.
Our Breeding Philosophy
We focus on consistency over hype. Cannabis culture is full of one-off pheno drops and Instagram cuts that look great on the first run and collapse on the second. That is not what we sell.
Our work is selection, stabilisation, refinement, and reliable reproduction of elite genetics. We work through multiple generations to lock in the traits growers actually pay for — terpene profile, vigour, structure, flowering time, and yield — so that seed pack 1 grows the same plant as seed pack 1,000.
That is the core of how a real breeder talks: not “we invented this strain,” but “we stabilised it, we refined it, and we can reproduce it run after run.”
Our Process
Phenotype Hunting
We pop large pheno populations of every elite cultivar and grow them out under identical, controlled conditions. We log terpene, vigour, structure, internode spacing, flower density, and resin output at every stage.
Selection
From each population we cull aggressively and keep only the phenotypes that match our target profile — the ones that taste right, finish on time, and yield consistently. Selection is data-driven, not mood-driven.
Backcrossing & Stabilisation
Selected phenotypes are crossed back to the parental line over multiple generations (BX1, BX2, BX3+) until traits express homogeneously. We stabilise until the population grows uniform, not just close.
Quality Control & Testing
Every finished seed line is germ-tested batch by batch above 99%. Trait consistency is verified with a final grow-out before any seed leaves the building. If a batch drifts, it does not ship.
